Te Reo Maori-Kei te haere...ki hea?

Tautoro School

6.12.17
Tautoro School.
I love Tautoro School because we learn sports with Matua Matt. We learn the skills to play touch, rugby, rippa rugby soccer and hockey.
And we learn dance with Whaea Dorothy.
I love Room 3 because we achieve our goals. We use kaha, tumaia and ako to achieve our learning goals.
We plant our seeds and we learn about how to look after our plants and to grow plants to feed our whanau. Whaea Hera helps us with our  garden.
In our class we use the hoe of aroha, kaitiakitanga and whanaungatanga. We have good manners, good listening, kindness,I like being a role model.

We read our books to Whaea Hilary, we do our spelling test with Whaea Janet. We even read books to  Mrs Graham.

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

At the Market day.
On Friday me and my family went to the market day at Tautoro School. I was getting excited because I thought the Market Day was wonderful.
First when I got there I got  candy floss. I said to my mum, “This candy floss is yummy.”
Next I went to get a massage in Room 5. It was cool.
After that I got my nails done by Waihemonga’s mum. I picked the pink color. It glows in the dark.
Later on I got a drink for $1. It was yummy.
Then I got some plants for $1 for my Grandpa. I got a sunflower and a tomato.
Finally my mum got a raffle ticket. My sister won and my mum won. My sister got nails stuff. My mum got a cup and plate.
I had a great afternoon at our Market Day. It was so much fun.

Seed to feed

1.12.17
Seed to feed.

Me and my classroom have grown plants to sell at our school Market Day.

These are the plants we have grown - Tomato, sunflower, sweet corn, carrot, bok choy, silverbeet, pumpkin, squash, beetroot and sweet pea plants.
We had to germinate the seeds and take care of them so they would grow and grow.  It was easy to look after them.  Anyone can do it.
I am so excited.   We will be giving our families healthy vegetable plants to grow so they can feed their whanau.

Here is a picture to look at. You can see all our plants we put into our classroom for our market day.  I think we are going to get $400 profit.
