Here is my writing to explain Why we celebrate Guy Fawkes Day.

Guy Fawkes Day.

People celebrate Guy Fawkes every year on November 5th.
They buy fireworks to let off.

When they shoot their fireworks off, the colours are beautiful.

Then people gather together and launch more fireworks.

Why does this happen?

Why do we celebrate Guy Fawkes day?

First 400 years ago James became a king in England.

King James was being mean to the Catholic people in England.
He wanted them to go to another country.

A man called Guy Fawkes and his friends were sad because
King James was being mean to the Catholics.

They made up a plan to blow up the king’s building and to

kill the king.

They put 36 barrels of gunpowder under the building.

They were ready to blow up the building on November the
fifth.

But a letter was sent by someone to tell the king about the
plan. Then the king sent his guards to catch Guy Fawkes
and his friends. They were arrested. Then they were killed.

So every year people celebrate Guy Fawkes so we won’t
forget Guy Fawkes and what happened to him.

So that’s why we celebrate Guy Fawkes Day on
November the 5th every year.

Why do we celebrate Guy Fawkes Day.

It’s causing make problem for our world.

What can be done to solve the plastic pollution problem?

One thing can be done to solve the plastic pollution problem is using less plastic
packaging. Instead of buying stuff from the shop. People are shopping for big
bag’s or big contans .
They are sent the plastic to the landfill and not helping our world.

Another thing can be done to solve the plastic pollution problem is
people are using cottons bag. Instead of plastics bag. So our world haves
no plastic bags.

Lastly what’s being done to solve the plastic pollution
problem is that many people are reclining their rubbish to sent
to the factories to make shoes,clothes and furniture.

So In conclusion  plastic is everywhere plastic kills animals.

So the world has to be clean everyday.

Recount Writing- In Christchurch

In Christchurch

On Wednesday me and my family travelled to Christchurch. We
were going to Christchurch for my aunty’s wedding. I had a
huge smile on my face when I went to Christchurch.

First drove to Auckland airport to go on a plane to Christchurch.
It was the first time I had ever been in a plane. It was amazing
on the plane.

Next we landed in Christchurch. We walked out of the plane
and got our bags. We waited for the van. When the van came,
my papa drove us to a motel in Christchurch. Me, my papa
and nan went in our motel. There were 3 beds and 1 tv. We
had a barbecue for dinner. It was yummy.

The next day we travelled in the van to see Mount Cook. We
saw lots of snow on the mountain. I was excited because it
was the first time I saw snow.

Then me and my friends were playing hide and go seek in
the dark. I was in and I said to my cousin, “Do you want
to play?” He said, “Yes.” I counted to 30 and I found my friend
Isabella and my cousin’s Jayden and Teauha.

After that me and my friend went to look at the bunnies and
rabbits. My cousin found a bunny. The bunny was cute. I felt
I was the happiest in the world.

Picking watercress

On a hot sunny Sunday morning  me, my papa and Cyprus went to pick watercress in a stream a little past our house. We ran down in the bush.

First I was as fast as a car. My brother was as slow as a snail to get to our watercress patch. By the time we got there my papa’s heart was beating fast.

Next me, my brother and my papa saw a Kauri tree. I saw some Kauri gum on the ground where I found it. My papa said, “That is as big as Cyprus’s head.”

I had a twinkling eye and a huge smile when I saw the gum.

After looking at the Kauri gum we picked some watercress. My papa and Cyprus had one bag each to fill up with watercress. Cyprus and my papa had to share a bag. I had to fill a bag by myself. I picked more then my papa and Cyprus. I was proud. We had 2 plastic bags full. Then we walked home.

On our way back home my brother saw a rabbit.  I was jumping up and down, my mouth and eyes were wide open and I had a huge smile on my face.

At the beach

On a hot beautiful Monday afternoon me and my family
went to the beach in Paihia. First I asked
my dad if we could pick Sonny, Sweyde and
Shilaine up. Dad said yes. So we picked them up and we went
to the beach. The smile on my face was as big as the sun.

When we got to the beach the first thing me, Myer and Shilaine
did was to make a sandcastle.It was as tall as the Shilaine.

After that me, Sonny and Cyprus went to have a swim.
The water was cold as the ice. My body was
shaking and my teeth were chattering. “Time to get out,” I said.

Then we had a sand fight but Shilaine and Myer didn't
want to play with us because they said that they didn’t want to

sand to get in their clothes.

Later on me, Shilaine and Myer were doing
cartwheels on the sand.
My hands was getting sore so I stopped.

Finally me, Cyprus, Sonny and Sweyde had a race.
I was fast as a racing car.
Sonny came first. Sweyde came second,
I came third and Cyprus came last.  
I said to my mum and dad,
“Thank you for taking us to the beach.
It was the best day ever.”

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for Persuasive Writing

I think we should brush our teeth everyday.

Firstly I think we should brush our teeth everyday so
that our teeth can smell nice.

If you are not brushing your teeth then they will smell bad.
Have you smelt
someone with bad breath? Pooh.

Another reason why I think we should brush our teeth
everyday is to get rid of the strep
A bug from your mouth and your throat.

If you don’t brush your teeth the strep A bug might get into
your throat  and make you very sick.

Lastly I think we should brush our teeth everyday
so that our teeth will not get rotten.

When you brush your teeth the germs get brushed
away and your teeth are nice and clean.

So that’s why I think we should brush our teeth everyday.

At Jimmy Jacks.

10/02/18.

On Saturday me and my family went to Jimmy Jacks to have a yummy
breakfast. First for our breakfast we had a sushi.

When we just got there to Jimmy Jacks this lady gave us a paper to draw on.
There were some games to play on the back of the paper. It was fun.

After that we were waiting for our kai me,Cyprus and Myer were
saying next next and next. It was fun.

Later on I said to Cyprus,
“Can you play noughts and crosses with me Cyprus.” He said,
“Yes.” I said, “Thank you Cyprus.”  

Then my dad had a feed of Jimmy Jacks.

Finally we had a kai. It was amazing. I had lots of yummy Jimmy Jacks.
I said to my mum and dad, “Thank you for the nice kai mum and dad.
It was yummy as. Wow that was nicer than anything in the world.”

We had meat, chips, ribs, and Hot wings. It was yummy, lovely,
and very enjoyable. I was happy when we went to Jimmy Jacks.
It was fun there.
