Ihumatao

We have been learning about Ihumatao and the land issue. We had to choose a side: Maori OR Settler and write how it would of been at the time. Here is mine:

“Give me you land or go to jail” I shouted. I stood staring at
them,I felt proud as I glided across the land.

You native people don't deserve this land. 

I scanned around slowly.

I could see a group of Maori men slapping their legs and
throwing their arms in the air. 

I could hear the Maori men stomping the ground angrily.

I could smell the wet brown mud on the ground.
